If a client asks you “Can you write country music?”, just say YES and then start listening to country music and learn as you go!
If a repeat client wants you to score their film, but you already have a full plate, just say YES! Be honest with them but figure out how to make it happen. Many times schedules change or you can get help.
A client asks you for a re-write on a cue your attached to. Swallow your pride, just say YES and take the opportunity to write something even better.

I regret a few of the times in my early career where I said no because I though I didn’t have enough time to fit in projects. In most cases another composer got the job and became their “go to” guy. ???
