My heart soars when a positive spotlight or opportunity is shined on someone else.  Truly, good for them.

Unless specifically asked for my honest opinion or feedback, I very much try to limit my public comments on someone’s specific work to things I love and appreciate.  Personally, I don’t feel a need to comment on things I don’t like.  There are just too many films, scores, restaurants, shows, products, books, and works of art I adore to waste my time speaking about the ones I don’t care for.  I would rather use my unsolicited energy to praise people and things.

While I do not always achieve this goal, I continually strive for it, especially nowadays when what the world needs now is love, sweet love.

The catalyst for this post is to share how extraordinarily excited I am for the gentleman who recently won the West World competition.  What a thrill it must have been to have unwrapped that YouTube Wonka Bar to discover he won that Golden Ticket!

I get a buzz just imagining what that must have meant to him and his family and friends.  And, now that I have listened to it, I personally feel it was a fantastic piece.  Clever, witty, tuneful, well-spotted and beautifully executed.  I can’t wait to hear what he comes up with next.

If you want to share in this Golden Ticket joy, feel free to post your comments here. (and if you feel compelled to share your criticisms and/or negativity, there are ample other places to satisfy those desires, so please respect my request to keep them off of this thread).
