I have enjoyed how people help each other out on this forum, so I’d like to also lend a hand. Any composers with questions about the mixing process? Perhaps I can share some of the techniques I’ve learned over the years and give some ideas/tips on how you might improve your demos or get more cues approved for your projects.
Why do this?
Mainly, I feel for composers who are forced to be engineers and sometimes get lost in the creative vs. technical process. I’ll do my best not to respond “Well, it depends”, and try to give you solid answers to concepts you always wanted to know…
Go ahead, ask what compressors to use, reverbs, EQ, workflow ideas, mixing/mastering, production tips, tricks, philosophy, troubleshooting, room design/speaker placement, etc…”
