WHAT’S YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH ABOUT YOURSELF?

Imagine an accidental meeting in an elevator with a potential employer such as a filmmaker, producer, show runner or game developer.

What are you going to say about yourself during that potentially fateful 30 second to 2 minute elevator ride?

Your elevator pitch should be a short summary used to quickly and simply define yourself in an interesting manner and about what you have to uniquely offer.

You should really know your elevator pitch. Rehearse it. And learn to deliver it with such easy that it become natural, thus making it seem completely unrehearsed.

If the conversation inside the elevator in those few seconds is really interesting and value adding, it should lead to more conversation after the elevator ride or to a follow up meeting.

Now think of how you can employ your elevator pitch into all sorts of situations where you need to quickly explain who you are and what you have to offer.

Composers are always saying they are looking for opportunities.

What will be your elevator pitch when those opportunities present themselves to you?
