When Walt Disney looked at an orange grove he saw a castle.
With the heart of a great dreamer he created in his head all that the castle could be.
And with the mind of a great doer he was able to manifest those dreams into something real.
Along with his brother, he figured out how to work with bankers, investors, craftsmen and Teamsters to build that castle out of cement and chicken wire.
To help finance his dreams he put on makeup, greased back his hair, read off cue cards and promoted and peddled his ideas to millions via television, playing the character, Uncle Walt.
Walt wanted his castle so badly.
In our world there are so many dreamers. For a variety of reasons, very few of them are also doers.
For far too many dreamers, their magnificent visions remain unfulfilled, stuck in the ether of their minds, their sketch pads, and their hard drives. Beautiful, distant dreams that remain just that.
The doers take the risks, overcome the obstacles and push past limitation.
61 years after Walt opened the Happiest Place on Earth, we are still able to experience his dreams.
Because he dreamed AND did them.
