THE ART OF GIVING

MATCHING FUNDS OFFERED TO THIS FACEBOOK GROUP.

I frequently post here that receiving+giving=living just as inhaling+exhaling=breathing.

Towards that end, our HELP A COMPOSER WEEK was a tremendous success.

HOW DO WE UNITE TO BECOME A FORCE FOR GOOD?

Moving forward, I would love for this Forum community to further harness its giving energetic flow and power. We have great potential to do a lot of good in the world within our 7,000+ members.

Perhaps others here could make recommendations of what sorts of events we could join together in creating towards giving back to the world. Beyond being just composers, agents, music editors, music supervisors, orchestrators and programmers, we are a FAMILY. We aren’t just our jobs and our titles. We are brothers and sisters and parents and husbands and wives and lovers and friends. We are people who care about one another.

THIS TIME IT’S PERSONAL

As Adonis Aletras has been kind enough to promote my charity fund-raising event on this Forum, I would like to expand on that by doing something special and unique for this group:

I WILL PERSONALLY MATCH EACH AND EVERY CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY ANY MEMBERS OF THIS FACEBOOK FORUM.

It really doesn’t matter if your contribution is $1, $10 or $100. What I believe matters is acting like a community coming together to help others.

I have a personal interest in a really rare genetic disorder, Coffin-Siris Syndrome since my 4 year-old daughter, Daisy, has it. I am organizing a conference and a day at Disneyland for other CSS kids and their families. Most cannot afford to attend, so I started a GoFundMe campaign that has already raised over $65,000 in a week to help cover their expenses.

Most contributors are from our larger film music community.

Simply add the word PERSPECTIVE to the comments on your GoFundIt donation and I will submit a matching amount to anything donated by Friday, January 26.
