UNION PROTECTIONS

Curious, what percentage of your work as composers are on projects that are directed under DGA contracts?

My assumption (which might easily be wrong) is that the majority of the kinds of smaller, indie projects composers work on early in their careers are not made under DGA contracts.

My reason for inquiring is that even if there were a Composer’s Union (which isn’t possible), would it protect and cover composers on the sort of smaller, indie projects that even the DGA does not cover?
