ATTENTION COMPOSERS: A MOST IMPORTANT EXERCISE

A week ago I challenged composers of this Forum to view/judge the 100+ videos posted here and to comment on their observations of this experience.

So far the few posts on this thread are extraordinarily relevant and insightful observations about the experience of being a VIEWER/LISTENER vs being a CREATOR.

That fresh perspective is mind-blowingly relevant.

Instead of just focusing on composing music and putting it out in the world, what is it like being on the other end?

What is it like actually plowing through piles of works by others?

What makes an impression? What does not.

I STRONGLY suggest taking the time to walk through the experience of viewing these videos. There are SO many valuable lessons for you to teach yourself by walking in those shoes.

Looking forward to hearing YOUR observations after you finish this exercise.
