A common trait I have observed amongst the most successful media composers is an INSANELY STONG and disciplined work ethic.
In addition to their talents, passion and personalities, they also possess a superhuman devotion towards work.
They typically work 6-7 days a week putting in incredibly long hours.
They forgo a great amount of time they would like to spend on other pursuits to devote to doing their job.
Time for family, friends, vacations often get short shrift in favor of work.
They push themselves past things that could slow them down.
They are almost always perfectionists putting in the extra efforts and resources to get things done “right”.
They over deliver almost as a default.
They always meet deadlines.
They rarely have excuses.
